www.octagonart.com is the website of local Artist Miranda Rose. Established in April 2011 it is an online gallery exhibiting original oil paintings and etching collages by the artist.
The subjects Miranda chooses are selected from nature. They are first depicted in a detailed representative pencil drawing and then elaborated upon on the canvas or zinc etching plate. The emphasis is placed on the design, placement and structure of the object and its surroundings, or lack of.

Miranda has recently embarked on a series depicting the rocks at the Black Hill Reserve located just outside of Kyneton. Make time to visit this wonderful natural art form during your stay in Kyneton.
Miranda is also a member of the Kyneton Art Group which exhibits annually in September in the Town Hall as a programmed event of the Kyneton Daffodil and Arts Festival.
