Introduction: The 2001 census indicated that at that time there were 3113 jobs in Kyneton whilst 3366 Kyneton residents were employed. The difference in these figures indicating the net number of people travelling out of Kyneton to their workplace. Clearly many more than the difference travel out and a significant number travel in to work in the area.
